About the role
Tarleton State University seeks a tenure‑track Assistant or Associate Professor in Communication Disorders for its Department of Athletic Training and Communication Disorders. The position is based on the Fort Worth campus and offers a 9‑month appointment with potential summer teaching contingent on funding.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in communication disorders and related fields.
- Develop and maintain an active research program aligned with the department’s mission.
- Provide service to the university, profession, and community through committees, outreach, and mentorship.
- Collaborate with faculty across Tarleton’s multiple campuses and online platforms.
- Participate in departmental and university initiatives that promote inclusive growth and innovation.
Required profile
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Communication Disorders, Speech‑Language Pathology, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service.
- Eligibility for tenure‑track appointment at a doctoral‑granting institution.
