Assistant/Associate Professor - Wildlife Specialist

About the role

The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor to lead a statewide extension program focused on wildlife management. The position emphasizes upland game bird management, nuisance and invasive wildlife issues, and the development of educational programs for diverse stakeholder groups.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive, statewide extension program in wildlife management.
• Focus on upland game bird management and address nuisance/invasive wildlife challenges.
• Design and deliver educational programs for landowners, hunters, residential homeowners, natural‑resources professionals, county extension agents, and 4‑H youth.
• Collaborate with fellow natural resources extension and research team members to align efforts and meet stakeholder needs.
• Represent the Division in outreach activities, workshops, and community events.

Required profile

• Strong desire to develop and deliver wildlife‑focused educational programs.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Relevant academic background in wildlife management, ecology, or a related field.
• Ability to work collaboratively with extension agents, researchers, and community partners.
