About the role
Southeastern Louisiana University’s School of Nursing seeks a tenure‑track faculty member to join as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing, beginning Spring 2027. The role involves teaching, scholarship, and service across undergraduate and graduate programs.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses as needed.
- Design and deliver interactive classroom and clinical experiences that promote student success.
- Maintain an active scholarly agenda, including research, publishing, and conference presentations.
- Provide service to the university through committee work, special projects, and student advising.
- Engage with the community by applying professional nursing expertise.
Required profile
- Doctorate degree in Nursing awarded by the date of hire.
- Unencumbered RN license in Louisiana.
- Minimum two years of clinical RN experience.
- Commitment to working with diverse populations.
- Preferred: prior teaching experience and APRN certification.
