Assistant/Associate Professor – Clinical Track, Physician Assistant Medicine

About the role

Tarleton State University’s Division of Health Sciences seeks a dynamic faculty member to join the inaugural Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Medicine program. The position is a clinical‑track, assistant or associate professor role focused on teaching, curriculum development, and service to the university community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality instruction for physician‑assistant courses, both on‑campus and online.
• Participate in the design and continuous improvement of the new master’s curriculum.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and conference presentations.
• Contribute to departmental service, accreditation efforts, and community outreach.
• Maintain a 100% administrative load until the first cohort begins, then transition to a balanced teaching/research portfolio.

Required profile

• Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent advanced health degree.
• Current or recent clinical experience as a physician assistant or related health professional.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship.
• Eligibility for tenure‑track or comparable faculty appointment.
