About the role
The Office of the Chancellor at Northeastern University seeks a full‑time Co‑op Faculty Coordinator to support cooperative education for students in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences. The role involves teaching, coaching, and integrating work‑based learning with academic curricula.
Key responsibilities
- Educate and coach students on career development, including interview skills, professional behavior, workplace ethics, leadership, and emotional intelligence.
- Teach a career‑education course each semester and maintain contact with students throughout their co‑op experiences.
- Collaborate with faculty, administration, and employers to align co‑op placements with academic learning.
- Develop and expand employer partnerships through outreach, site visits, and participation in professional organizations.
- Provide service to the Cooperative Education department and Bouvé College by presenting to prospective students, serving on committees, and advising student organizations.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in student development, counseling, education, psychology, health science or related field.
- Minimum three years of relevant work experience, preferably with prior industry exposure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Experience working with a varied student or staff population, including international students.
Required skills
- Proficiency with computer technology and database maintenance.
- Strong time‑management and organizational abilities.
