Assistant Teaching Professor – Computer Information Science

About the role

The University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College is seeking a full‑time Assistant Teaching Professor in Computer Information Science (CIS) to deliver high‑quality undergraduate instruction, advise students, and contribute to the campus academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Teach approximately 30 credit hours of CIS courses per academic year.
• Maintain regular office hours and establish a visible campus presence in line with the UA‑PTC Campus Presence Policy.
• Advise a caseload of students within the CIS discipline or related fields.
• Participate actively in student orientations, professional development workshops, and other mandatory college activities.
• Contribute to curriculum development, departmental meetings, and college committees.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or higher) in Computer Information Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and facilitate learning at the undergraduate level.
• Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
