About the role
The Department of History at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville invites applications for a full‑time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor specializing in U.S. Latino/a/e History. The appointment begins August 16, 2027 and includes a standard nine‑month faculty contract.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in U.S. history and specialized U.S. Latino/a/e history.
- Maintain an active research program leading to scholarly publications and a major book.
- Advise and mentor students, and contribute to departmental, college, and university service.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in History or a closely related field by the appointment date.
- Research specialization in U.S. Latino/a/e history with strong publication potential.
- Demonstrated or strong potential for excellence in teaching.
