About the role
The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Nursing Practice to begin in Fall 2027. This nine‑month appointment, with possible summer duties, is based on the Corpus Christi campus and requires regular on‑site presence.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses, including classroom, clinical, and simulation instruction.
- Develop and maintain an active research program, pursue external funding, and disseminate findings through peer‑reviewed publications and presentations.
- Provide student support through mentoring, advising, recruitment, and supervision of DNP student projects.
- Participate in college, university, and professional service activities, including committee work.
- Maintain clinical and content mastery to ensure adherence to program policies and best practices.
Required profile
- Research‑focused PhD in Nursing from an accredited institution (degree must be conferred by appointment).
- Current, unencumbered RN and/or APRN license in Texas.
- Demonstrated record of high‑quality teaching and leadership capability.
- Potential to establish a funded research program with a history of successful grant acquisition.
