About the role

The Assistant Merchandising Manager for Women’s Leathergoods at Gucci supports the flow of merchandise across the business, ensuring timely allocation and close collaboration with Customer Service, Worldwide Merchandising, Corporate Retail, and Demand Planning teams. This role balances inventory, drives sales momentum, and provides on‑site support to maximize store performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor monthly deliveries and communicate with Merchandising and visual teams to ensure proper execution of visual displays.
• Balance stock‑to‑sales ratios, coordinate replenishment, and prioritize allocation of new products to key locations.
• Provide inventory forecasts, reorder recommendations, and execute stock movements based on sales analysis.
• Prepare and deliver weekly, end‑of‑month, and ad‑hoc reports, including pricing initiatives and sell‑through analysis.
• Support Merchandising Managers in‑store by collaborating with visual merchandising, store directors, and client advisors to optimize floor capacity and promote best‑sellers.
• Travel to stores at least three days per quarter to maintain relationships, gather insights, and motivate selling teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail merchandising, inventory management, or related commercial functions.
• Strong analytical abilities with a track record of using sales data to drive inventory decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly to stores and adapt to a fast‑paced luxury retail environment.
