Assistant Manager, Asset Execution

About the role

Join APM Terminals, a global leader in port operations, as an Assistant Manager, Asset Execution. You will lead daily maintenance activities for mobile equipment, ensuring safe and reliable terminal operations while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance for mobile equipment and supporting systems, coordinating technicians, contractors and resources.
• Supervise preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and documented in the CMMS.
• Collaborate with planners, supervisors and cross‑functional teams to manage backlogs, prioritize work and maximize schedule compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, supporting root‑cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Required profile

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance planning or scheduling experience in heavy‑industrial environments.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or team‑lead experience is desirable.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with strong safety focus.

Required skills

• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), preferably IFS.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, execution and safety management.
