About the role
The Assistant Director of Recruiting & Business Development supports Texas A&M Engineering’s Master of Engineering Technical Management program by creating and executing strategies to attract professional students and promote development courses, speaking events, and sponsored programs. This position blends business development, recruiting, and event management to grow the program’s reach and impact.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule high‑level meetings with decision‑makers and generate prospects through strategic sales initiatives.
- Track account metrics such as student applications, acceptances, and program sales.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify target organizations and new business opportunities.
- Assist in drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Manage a business development budget and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies.
- Develop and sell online and in‑person professional development courses to individuals and companies.
- Plan and execute recruiting events to attract leads and applicants.
- Utilize the CRM system for campaign creation, lead tracking, reporting, and decision‑making.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- At least six years of related experience in sales, business development, or recruiting.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work cooperatively with others.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using CRM systems for campaign and lead management.
- High‑level computer literacy, including web‑based applications and electronic communication.
