Assistant Director – Graduate Business Programs

About the role

The University of Miami Business School seeks an Assistant Director to lead enrollment for its portfolio of graduate business programs. Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, the role involves representing the school in recruiting, admissions, and student engagement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Explain program offerings, outcomes, services, and financial considerations to prospective students, parents, and current undergraduates.
• Manage the full applicant journey: respond to inquiries, schedule interviews, nurture candidates, and guide them toward suitable programs.
• Forecast new‑student enrollment, review applications in Slate CRM, and provide feedback.
• Develop and participate in recruitment events, travel to graduate fairs and conferences, and maintain high‑quality customer service for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience, preferably in higher‑education admissions.
• Strong written and oral communication, ability to handle stressful situations with composure, and effective interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher.
• Experience using Slate CRM or similar admissions databases.
• Ability to generate and analyze database reports and perform data analysis.
