Assistant Community Manager (Temporary)

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of an apartment community. This temporary, full‑time position involves handling accounting tasks, rent collection, invoice processing, and using property‑management software to maintain accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite (or similar) software, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges, and coordinate approvals with the Community Manager.
• Assist with eviction procedures, court representation, and move‑out processing.
• Address resident complaints promptly to promote satisfaction and retention.
• Supervise on‑site activities in the manager’s absence, coordinating maintenance and daily operations.
• Support owner relations through tours, performance updates, and responding to requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in property or community management, including sales, marketing, and customer service.
• Understanding of lease terms, collections, and eviction processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail‑oriented and self‑motivated.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or Entrata.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and database management tools.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
