Assistant Community Manager – South Seattle

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of an apartment community in South Seattle. This full‑time, onsite position involves handling accounting tasks, resident interactions, and day‑to‑day property operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate property management software (Yardi/OneSite) to enter transactions, maintain system integrity, and generate financial reports.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, obtain approvals, code charges, and coordinate payments.
• Assist with evictions, move‑out processing, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Supervise on‑site operations in the Community Manager’s absence, coordinating maintenance and daily work assignments.
• Support owner relations by providing performance updates and responding to requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field (preferred).
• 1‑3 years of experience in property or residence management, including sales, marketing, and customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and detail‑oriented work style.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 20 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or Entrata.
• Internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management skills.
