Assistant Community Manager – Sequoia & Klein Huis

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the Sequoia & Klein Huis community at Turner Mill. This position handles accounting tasks, rent collection, invoicing, and resident relations to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate property‑management software (Yardi/OneSite) to enter transactions, update records, and maintain system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and coordinate approvals.
• Assist with eviction procedures, move‑out processing, and lease termination compliance.
• Act as on‑site supervisor in the Community Manager’s absence, coordinating maintenance and daily work assignments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in residence life or property management.
• Understanding of lease terms, collections, and lease enforcement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or Entrata.
• Strong Internet, word‑processing, spreadsheet, and database‑management abilities.
