Assistant Community Manager – Property Finance & Operations

About the role

Greystar is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in handling the financial and operational duties of the Ascend at McKinney North community. This position will focus on accounting, rent collection, invoicing, and the use of property‑management software to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Generate monthly close‑out reports, financial statements, and invoice vendors for payment.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite software, entering data accurately and maintaining system integrity.
• Review resident accounts for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to protect revenue.
• Process resident move‑outs, apply appropriate fees, and manage security‑deposit reconciliations.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice compliance and court representation as needed.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Basic understanding of property‑management accounting principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi or OneSite property‑management software.
• Experience in accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
