Assistant Community Manager – Nine Hollywood

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a high‑rise apartment community. Responsibilities include accounting, bookkeeping, rent collection, invoice processing, bank deposits, reconciliations, and using property‑management software to track all financial activity.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite (or similar) software, entering data accurately and maintaining system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and coordinate approvals.
• Assist with eviction procedures, move‑out processing, and resident satisfaction initiatives.
• Supervise on‑site operations in the Community Manager’s absence, coordinating maintenance and make‑ready tasks.
• Support leasing and marketing efforts by greeting prospects, showing units, and assisting with applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in residence life or property management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, etc.).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and general spreadsheet skills.
• Experience with internet, word‑processing, and database‑management programs.
