Assistant Community Manager for Apartment Community

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of an apartment community. This includes handling accounting tasks, rent collection, invoicing, and resident relations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate property management software (Yardi/OneSite) to enter transactions, maintain data integrity, and generate financial reports.
• Communicate with residents about unpaid balances, enforce lease terms, and manage delinquencies.
• Review and process vendor invoices, code charges, and coordinate payments with owners.
• Assist with eviction procedures, move‑out processing, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Supervise on‑site operations in the Community Manager’s absence, coordinating maintenance and daily tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in property or residence management, with knowledge of lease enforcement and collections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; detail‑oriented and self‑motivated.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata).
• Strong computer skills: internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
• Valid driver’s license for on‑site mobility.
