Assistant Clinical Professor, Nursing Practice

About the role

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a non‑tenure‑track Assistant Clinical Professor of Nursing Practice. This 9‑month academic appointment begins as early as Spring 2027 and requires on‑campus presence to support teaching, student mentorship, and program development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and evaluate didactic and clinical nursing courses, including skills and simulation labs.
• Provide student support through mentoring, advising, clinical placement coordination for FNP students, and supervision of DNP projects.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and program assessment for Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs.
• Engage in scholarly activities, committee work, test writing, and student remediation as needed.
• Collaborate with department leadership, community partners, and interdisciplinary teams to advance college and university goals.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Current, unencumbered RN or APRN license in Texas (or eligibility at hire).
• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC).
