About the role
Northeastern University’s Campus Planning & Design department is seeking an Assistant Campus Planner to support innovative space solutions and capital projects. The role will work under the Director of Research & Academic Campus Planning to develop communication materials, conduct research, and assist with planning initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Create visual communication materials such as maps, presentations, and annotated floor plans.
- Conduct data gathering, research, and precedent analysis for space planning scenarios.
- Survey and document field conditions for specific projects.
- Prepare written materials including reports, meeting notes, memos, and project summaries.
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance research and workflow efficiency.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong ability to communicate in written, verbal, and graphic form.
- Comfort working with diverse backgrounds and fast‑paced environments.
Required skills
- Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
- Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Graphic illustration and diagramming.
- Use of AI tools for research and data analysis.
