Assistant Attorney General – Medicaid Fraud (Civil)

About the role

The State of Georgia’s Department of Law is seeking an Assistant Attorney General to lead civil investigations and litigation under the Georgia False Medicaid Claims Act. This role focuses on combating Medicaid fraud, working with multidisciplinary teams, and handling whistleblower actions in federal court.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate allegations of fraud against the Georgia Medicaid program as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in joint federal‑state investigations and pursue litigation in federal district courts.
• Collaborate with state and federal law‑enforcement partners.
• Represent the State in civil actions, including whistleblower lawsuits.
• Travel as required to support investigations and court proceedings.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the Georgia Bar.
• Experience in civil litigation, preferably with a focus on healthcare or fraud matters.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
