ARP Maintenance Planner

About the role

The Asset Reliability Process (ARP) Planner will coordinate and support proactive maintenance activities to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at Gerdau’s Huntington plant. This advisory position works closely with operations, maintenance, reliability, and engineering teams to plan preventive, predictive, corrective, and project work.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule proactive maintenance, including preventive, predictive, and corrective tasks, using a systematic analytical approach.
• Manage the non‑emergency work backlog and coordinate down‑day and outage planning meetings.
• Develop and maintain job plans, work packages, and inventory plans for critical spare parts using Reliability Centered Maintenance methodologies.
• Train maintenance and operations personnel on equipment care, new procedures, and safety requirements.
• Monitor and report KPIs, conduct safety audits, and ensure compliance with visual management standards.

Required profile

• Two‑year degree or advanced technical training with at least 5 years of heavy‑manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Mastery‑level knowledge of asset reliability technology, CMMS, and maintenance concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to work on scheduled shutdowns and occasional travel for training.
