Armed Security Officer – Full-Time in Houston

About the role

Sentrysix International is seeking an Armed Security Specialist II to provide physical security, inspections, and access control at designated locations in Houston. The role involves both day and night shifts and offers a pathway to a long‑term career in security and threat management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform internal guard services, including vehicle and personnel entry control, roving patrols, and armed escort duties.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, residents, employees, and contractors.
• Conduct mobile patrols within assigned areas and screen vehicles and personnel at entry points.
• Protect equipment and personnel while maintaining weapons qualification on assigned systems.
• Maintain proficiency with non‑lethal weapons and required personal protective gear.
• Work up to 12‑hour shifts in austere conditions such as extreme heat, cold, wind, dust, rain, or snow.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• US citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Minimum age of 21.
• At least three years of verifiable experience in the U.S. military, corrections, security, or law enforcement.
• Active Texas Private Security Level III license.
• Clean criminal history and ability to pass a pre‑employment background investigation.
• Honorable discharge from the military, if applicable.

Required skills

• Active Texas Private Security Level III license.
• Weapons qualification and proficiency with assigned firearms and non‑lethal weapons.
• Ability to don and use required personal protective equipment.
