Armed Patrol Security Officer (Part-Time)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Armed Patrol Security Officer in Atlanta, GA, to protect clients in sectors such as financial institutions. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, keeps a visible presence to deter incidents and supports a secure environment for employees, customers and visitors. The schedule is day time, Saturday 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM and Sunday 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities.
• Carry out regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas and perimeter access points.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behaviour, hazards and policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Maintain readiness and handle authorised equipment in line with company policies, client requirements, licensing standards and regulations.

Required profile

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles; a valid driver's licence is required only for driving positions.
• Background investigation and drug screening as a condition of employment; licensing may be required before employment.

Preferred qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Computer or tablet use.
• Customer service experience.
