Armed Executive Protection Agent

About the role

Allied Universal Enhanced Protection Services, a global security services provider, is hiring a full-time Executive Protection Agent in Portland, Oregon to protect a client. The agent provides close protection to designated executives and personnel, assesses threats and responds to emergencies, and may work overtime, overnight shifts, weekends and holidays, with domestic and international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide close protection and act as protective, advance or operational support agent as assigned
• Assess security threats and develop mitigation strategies, and intervene when safety is threatened
• Take part in emergency response, including de-escalation, defensive tactics, authorized use of force and emergency medical response
• Conduct field interviews and contact persons of interest when authorized
• Help build and improve security policies and procedures, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
• Write incident reports and after-action documentation, and safeguard confidential information

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 3-5 years of combined experience in military service, corporate security, law enforcement, executive protection or protective operations; special operations experience preferred
• Valid driver's license, passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Ability to legally carry a firearm with a valid concealed pistol license
• Current First Aid, CPR and AED certification
• Good credit standing, and ability to work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Preferred: incident report writing, knowledge of CCTV and alarm systems, Microsoft Office, and protective operations risk mitigation
