Full-Time Unarmed Security Officer - North Portland

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol security officer in North Portland, Oregon. The officer serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries, including automotive, by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, keeping a visible presence to deter incidents and supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies and emergency response activities at an automotive facility.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, production-adjacent areas and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor and delivery activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying the right people and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and keep in touch with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts about security observations, incidents and concerns.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification and customer service experience are preferred.
• Applicants must pass a background investigation and a drug screen, and licensing may be required depending on state and local laws.
