APRN - Medical Oncology Clinic

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join its Medical Oncology Clinic. This full‑time, onsite position provides direct patient care within a multidisciplinary oncology team, supporting diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up for adult cancer patients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans for oncology patients.
• Prescribe and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive medications in accordance with protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to coordinate treatment regimens.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment options, and side‑effect management.
• Document clinical encounters accurately in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Current licensure as an APRN (NP or CNS) in Arkansas.
• Experience in medical oncology or related oncology nursing preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented clinical environment.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
