Application Engineering Specialist

About the role

Join 3M’s Application Engineering team as a Specialist, supporting customers and partners with graphics and personal auto film solutions. You will work from the 3M Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, collaborating with global teams to deliver training, product enablement, and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct technical support to customers in St. Paul, across the U.S., and internationally.
• Deliver training to customers, distributors, and internal staff, including "train‑the‑trainer" workshops.
• Create and maintain SOPs, instructional videos, and documentation for product launches.
• Contribute customer insights to the New Product Introduction process.
• Implement consistent installation standards worldwide, supporting warranty compliance.
• Work flexible hours, including mornings and evenings, to align with global engineering teams.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (or higher) completed before start date.
• Minimum five years of hands‑on installation experience with graphics and personal auto films (paint protection, window, color‑change, and graphics films).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work on‑site at least four days per week in Maplewood.
