About the role
ETAP is seeking a Power System Engineer to strengthen its Data Exchange Department. The role focuses on applying power system engineering expertise to support the growing ETAP distribution market and data transfer solutions, while providing technical assistance to customers.
Key responsibilities
- Design, code, and test software components using standard engineering and mathematical principles.
- Model transmission and distribution power systems and perform power flow, short‑circuit, and protection coordination analyses.
- Provide client support via email and phone, resolving technical issues and delivering training.
- Collaborate on data integration workflows and automate processes using AI tools and programming.
Required profile
- 1.5+ years experience in electric utility transmission or distribution design/operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a power‑systems emphasis (M.S. preferred).
- U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or work authorization.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or ability to obtain one.
Required skills
- Power‑system analysis software: ETAP, Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, EMTP‑RV, PSCAD, CYME, PSLF.
- GIS, MEP, CAD knowledge.
- Experience with AI tools and programming for workflow automation.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
What we offer
- Competitive salary range of $65,000 – $108,000 per year.
