Application Architect - Payment Integrity

About the role

HCSC is seeking a strategic and innovative Application Architect to advance its Payment Integrity Product portfolio. The role partners with Product, Business, Clinical, Operations and Technology teams to design and deliver scalable enterprise solutions that prevent inaccurate payments, optimize claims adjudication and strengthen payment integrity. It is a highly visible position requiring a balance of architecture leadership, technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration.

This is a fully remote position, open to anywhere in the continental United States except California, New York, Alaska and Hawaii. Sponsorship is not available, including for candidates on OPT.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute application architecture strategies aligned with business objectives and enterprise roadmaps
• Guide complex solution designs across integrated healthcare platforms
• Serve as subject matter expert for payment integrity technologies
• Ensure seamless integration of applications, databases and middleware supporting claims and payment accuracy

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of IT experience, or certification/coursework with 6 years, or 8 years of IT experience
• Experience in application architecture, solution design or product architecture
• Experience with application development platforms, cloud computing platforms and services, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, enterprise integration and API-based architecture
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills, and the ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders

Preferred qualifications

• Healthcare payer, payment integrity, claims processing, revenue management or related domain experience
• Knowledge of payment integrity functions such as pre- and post-payment editing, coding validation, reimbursement methodologies, provider billing compliance and claims adjudication
• Integration of third-party payment integrity solutions and cloud-native architectures, microservices, event-driven systems and secure design principles
• Architecture governance, vendor evaluation and technology roadmap leadership

What we offer

• Base pay range of $92,700 to $167,500, varying with skills, experience and location
