Android Software Engineer – AI Assistant (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an Android Software Engineer to shape the next generation of AI‑powered mobile experiences. In this remote position you will own how artificial intelligence feels, behaves and performs on Android devices, delivering production‑ready features that users rely on daily.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Android applications using Kotlin.
• Integrate AI capabilities such as large language models, vision, and speech APIs into mobile experiences.
• Build seamless user flows for streaming AI responses, voice interactions, and long‑running workflows.
• Optimize app performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
• Collaborate with backend and machine‑learning engineers to define APIs and product behavior.
• Implement analytics, monitoring, and feedback loops to continuously improve AI performance.
• Deliver secure, scalable, and reliable production releases.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong expertise with Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow, and asynchronous programming.
• Hands‑on experience integrating REST or gRPC APIs.
• Proven ability to debug, profile, and optimise mobile applications.
• Experience building resilient apps that handle latency, partial failures, and unpredictable AI responses.
