Alternative Investments Tax – Associate

About the role

The Alternative Investments Tax team within J.P. Morgan Wealth Management is seeking a motivated Associate to support tax reporting and compliance for a broad portfolio of private equity, hedge fund, real estate, and multi‑asset funds. The role will work closely with internal partners and external advisors to ensure accurate U.S. and international tax filings.

Key responsibilities

• Review tax work papers and filings prepared by third‑party tax advisors.
• Prepare tax provisions and coordinate tax engagements for private‑bank fund structures.
• Discuss technical tax issues with fund managers and advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage relationships with third‑party tax advisors and ensure timely receipt of required information.
• Answer client tax questions and support new business launches and customized alternative investment offerings.
• Enhance operational controls, participate in platform governance, and contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in tax reporting, compliance, or related advisory work.
• Strong understanding of U.S. tax regulations and international tax regimes (e.g., Luxembourg, Spain, Germany, U.K., France, Switzerland, Denmark, Canada).
• Familiarity with FATCA and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
• Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills.
