Treasury Assistant

About the role
The Treasury Assistant will join the Cashier’s Unit of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund in New York. Reporting to the Treasurer (P‑4), the incumbent will help ensure smooth operation of alternative payment channels, timely remittances to beneficiaries and effective monitoring of cash receipts and contributions. The position is part of a team of about 278 staff across four duty stations and contributes to the Fund’s mission of providing retirement and related benefits to over 90,000 beneficiaries worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Cashier and Deputy Cashier in monitoring cash receipts and contributions from member organisations.
- Prepare monthly and weekly cash‑flow forecasts.
- Produce periodic reports on contributions, disbursements, fund transfers and overall cash flow.
- Conduct monthly analysis of bank charges for all operational accounts.
- Respond to bank inquiries regarding fund recalls, unapplied payments and provisional credits.
