Allied Health Sciences Adjunct Instructor (Part‑time)

About the role

Georgia Northwestern Technical College seeks a licensed nursing or allied‑health professional to join the faculty as a part‑time Allied Health Sciences Adjunct Instructor. The role involves delivering online courses and occasional on‑campus duties, reporting to the Dean of Nursing and Health Technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide instruction based on approved course syllabi and ensure learning outcomes are met.
• Prepare curriculum, lesson outlines, and instructional materials.
• Evaluate student progress, administer and grade examinations.
• Maintain attendance and grade records, and uphold program certification standards.
• Participate in in‑service training, workshops, and seminars as required.
• Support recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.
• Meet with students, staff, and supervisors to address academic needs.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Nursing or related health field, or MD/DO/Chiropractic degree, or diploma in an allied‑health discipline.
• Current Georgia nursing license or equivalent state/national credential.
• Three years of recent field experience preferred.

Required skills

• Develop lesson outlines and instructional materials.
• Present subject matter effectively to adult learners.
• Administer and grade tests and examinations.
• Use computers and job‑related software, including student information systems.
