Aircraft Mechanic II - APG

About the role

The Aircraft Mechanic II APG performs inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on company aircraft. The work is primarily outdoors in a noisy environment, and involves lifting and working at heights.

Key responsibilities

• Perform launch, recovery, scheduled and unscheduled inspections and maintenance
• Carry out preflight, in-flight, post-flight and phase inspections, ground handling, minor maintenance and servicing
• Troubleshoot, install, repair and maintain electro-mechanical systems and components at the organizational level of maintenance
• Maintain aircraft structures, systems, components and related equipment, and remove and install aircraft components
• Service, operate and maintain ground support equipment, and clean aircraft interiors and exteriors and work areas
• Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and follow FAA regulations, manufacturer and company manuals and procedures
• Follow the employer's safety, quality and procedure-compliance requirements

Required profile

• Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license in good standing
• Three or more years of T6 aircraft experience
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, blueprints, wiring diagrams and data tables
• Current state driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport; U.S. citizenship is required for facility credentials at this work site
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb, stand and work at high altitudes; occasional work in low light and bad weather

Preferred: four or more years of directly related heavy aircraft maintenance experience, including compliance with aircraft servicing procedures, maintenance manuals and parts catalogs.
