Agriculture Lab Technician – Soil Testing Lab

About the role

The Agriculture Lab Technician works at the Soil Testing Laboratory in Marianna, Arkansas, supporting both laboratory operations and front‑office data processing. This seasonal, fixed‑term position involves direct interaction with clients and collaboration with lab staff to ensure accurate testing and data management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tasks in the Soil Testing Laboratory.
• Answer client calls and provide front‑office support.
• Assist lab staff and programmers with the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Process, organize, and manage data and metadata using Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Track inventory, troubleshoot issues, and interface with the LIMS to maintain data integrity.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a laboratory environment and front‑office setting.
• Willingness to learn and operate the Laboratory Information Management System.
• Strong attention to detail for data handling and inventory tracking.
