Agency Instructor I – Heavy Equipment Operations

About the role

The Agency Instructor I supports TEEX Workforce Development Programs by delivering specialty skilled and semi‑skilled training in heavy‑equipment operations. The position is remote‑eligible for candidates residing in designated Texas counties and involves instruction at both the COAST campus in Corpus Christi and the RAM hub in Brownsville.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering specialty skilled and semi‑skilled courses within TEEX Workforce Development Programs at COAST and RAM locations.
• Provide online, classroom and field‑based instruction using a variety of media and adult‑learning principles.
• Offer technical assistance and help update or create curriculum content as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Minimum five years of heavy‑equipment operation experience on at least two of the listed machines.
• At least two years of adult‑education or training experience.
• Residency in one of the specified Texas counties.
• Valid motor‑vehicle driver’s license and Class A Commercial Driver’s License (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
