After‑School and Summer Camp Coordinator

About the role

The After‑School and Summer Camp Coordinator oversees daily operations of Mercy Street’s out‑of‑school‑time programs for K‑5 students, ensuring a safe, enriching environment that supports academic, spiritual, and social‑emotional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily schedules, activities, staff assignments, substitutes, attendance, and timekeeping.
• Maintain participant enrollment, attendance, emergency, and authorized‑pickup records.
• Prepare classrooms, materials, meals, transportation, and activity supplies.
• Implement behavior‑support and safety procedures, conduct routine site and program‑quality checks.
• Assist with volunteer orientation and supervision, and collect data for grants, reports, and program evaluation.
• Serve as program lead when the Director is unavailable and escalate safety, staffing, or family concerns as needed.

Required profile

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2‑4 years of experience working with children or youth.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Current CPR/first‑aid certification or ability to obtain it.
• Willingness to work peak after‑school and seasonal summer hours.
• Alignment with Mercy Street’s Christian mission and Statement of Faith.
