After School Enrichment Coordinator (AmeriCorps)

About the role

Join DREAM’s After‑School Team as an AmeriCorps Enrichment Coordinator, creating safe, engaging, and community‑rooted learning experiences for youth in low‑income housing. You will plan and deliver fun, consistent programming that blends academic support, creative activities, and community building.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and run after‑school activities such as homework help, arts & crafts, sports, STEM projects, and cultural exploration.
• Incorporate youth interests into daily sessions and provide mentorship and skill‑building opportunities.
• Communicate regularly with caregivers, partners, and fellow AmeriCorps members to strengthen community connections.
• Support program evaluation, partnership development, and logistics for meals and resources.

Required profile

• Commitment to serve as a positive role model for youth and to advance DREAM’s mission of reducing the Opportunity Gap.
• Ability to attend scheduled weekday afternoons/evenings (15–25 hours/week) and maintain reliable internet, phone, and a dedicated workspace.
• Eligibility for AmeriCorps service (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, age 17+, high‑school diploma or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience or education working with diverse communities in an equitable manner.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
• Experience using Google Hangouts/Meet for virtual communication.
• Familiarity with GSuite collaboration tools.
