Advanced Practice RN – Pediatric Neurology NICU

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join its Pediatric Neurology NICU team. In this role you will provide high‑level nursing care to critically ill newborns and infants with complex neurological conditions, working closely with physicians and multidisciplinary staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for NICU patients.
• Administer and manage advanced therapies, medications, and monitoring equipment.
• Collaborate with neurologists, neonatologists, and allied health professionals to coordinate treatment.
• Educate families about patient conditions, treatment options, and discharge planning.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff and students within the unit.

Required profile

• Current RN license with APRN certification (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist).
• Experience in a NICU or pediatric neurology setting.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
