Advanced Practice RN – Movement Disorder Clinic

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join its Movement Disorder Clinic. This full‑time, onsite position provides advanced nursing care to patients with Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia and related movement disorders in an outpatient setting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage medications according to clinic protocols.
• Collaborate with neurologists, physical therapists, and other specialists to coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families about disease management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted APRN license (Nurse Practitioner) in the United States.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. on the first day of employment.
• Experience in neurology or movement‑disorder care preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently in an outpatient clinic.
