Advanced Practice Provider

About the role

The Advanced Practice Provider will join the Student Health Services team at Texas A&M University, delivering comprehensive primary care to students, faculty, and staff. Working under general direction, the provider will diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of health conditions in a fast‑paced campus environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, counseling, and treatment.
• Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record.
• Prescribe medications within the scope of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant regulations and under physician oversight.
• Maintain and monitor patient records, identify health care needs, and deliver patient education.
• Interpret laboratory results and perform follow‑up care as needed.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Ability to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work under general supervision.
• Commitment to providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a university setting.
