About the role
Texas A&M University’s Department of Political Science is seeking a highly organized Administrative Coordinator II to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support. The role demands strong multitasking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to maintain efficient workflows while adhering to university policies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and update the department’s web page, ensuring content is current and accurate.
- Develop and execute the department’s social media strategy, creating and scheduling engaging content.
- Plan and oversee department events, meetings, and conferences, handling logistics and communication.
- Support student and alumni engagement initiatives.
- Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, publications, and presentations.
- Monitor office procedures and ensure compliance with departmental and university protocols.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three years of experience in office administration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong planning, coordination, and organizational abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Experience with web content management and social media platforms.
