Adjunct Lecturer – Interpreter Education

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks an Adjunct Lecturer to deliver American Sign Language (ASL) and interpreter training courses. This part‑time, fixed‑term position involves classroom instruction for a full semester, assessment of student work, and adherence to established course objectives and syllabi.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned ASL or interpreter education courses in‑person.
• Develop and grade assignments, exams, and projects according to the syllabus.
• Maintain course materials and ensure alignment with university standards.
• Provide timely feedback and support to students throughout the semester.
• Participate in departmental meetings and academic activities as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in ASL, Interpreting, or a closely related field.
• Native or native‑like proficiency in American Sign Language.
• Demonstrated ability to teach both in‑class and online environments (preferred).
