Adjunct Instructor – Computer Science

About the role

Saint Louis University’s Department of Computer Science is seeking part‑time adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses on an ongoing basis. Selected faculty will join a pool of qualified educators and will be called upon as course openings arise.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lecture, lab, and discussion sessions for undergraduate and graduate computer science classes.
• Prepare course materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with departmental standards.
• Provide mentorship and academic support to students.
• Collaborate with full‑time faculty on curriculum development and program initiatives.

Required profile

• For undergraduate teaching: a degree in computer science or equivalent industry experience relevant to the course subject.
• For graduate teaching: an MS or PhD in computer science or a closely related field, or a bachelor’s degree in CS (or related) plus at least five years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
