Adjunct Faculty – Temporary Position

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is seeking qualified adjunct faculty for a temporary, fixed‑term appointment. This position involves delivering undergraduate and graduate coursework, contributing to the academic mission of a historic HBCU, and engaging with a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in accordance with university curriculum and standards.
• Develop and update syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Participate in departmental meetings and faculty development activities.

Required profile

• Graduate degree (Master’s or higher) in the relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
