Accounting Technician / Cashier (Student Services)

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Chattahoochee Technical College, is seeking an Accounting Technician/Cashier to support student financial services on the Paulding Campus. This full‑time position handles cash transactions, processes payments, and provides front‑line customer service to students, vendors, and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Process student payments, enter data, and reconcile Banner accounts accurately.
• Prepare and submit bank deposits, including remote deposits.
• Assist students with 1098‑T access via ECSI, refund information via BankMobile, and payment‑plan details via Nelnet.
• Open and close the office, answer phone calls, and greet visitors.
• Create new student or vendor Banner accounts as needed.
• Handle vendor, facility‑rental, and third‑party payments.
• Update admission terms and remove holds from student accounts.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of related work experience.
• Ability to be bonded.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Banner financial system.
• Experience using ECSI for student tax documents.
• Knowledge of BankMobile for refund processing.
• Use of Nelnet for payment‑plan administration.
