Accounting Solutions Consultant (San Francisco)

About the role

The Accounting Solutions Consultant will act as the technical bridge between Campfire’s sales, product, and prospective customers. Based in the San Francisco headquarters, you will develop proof‑of‑concepts, lead product demos and demonstrate how AI‑native accounting software solves real business challenges. This customer‑facing role directly influences the go‑to‑market strategy and company growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a technical accounting expert during sales cycles, translating complex accounting requirements into product solutions.
• Demo the Campfire platform and address technical accounting questions on live sales calls.
• Identify customer pain points and collaborate with product and engineering teams to build customized solutions.
• Channel customer insights to guide the future product roadmap.
• Develop marketing materials and contribute to the evolving go‑to‑market strategy.

Required profile

• Deep accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public and industry accounting in the technology sector.
• Familiarity with ASC 606, ASC 830, and ASC 842 standards is a plus.
• Experience applying AI to accounting workflows and working with accounting/fintech software.
• Strong communication skills with a consultative sales approach and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Required skills

• CPA (certified public accountant) – optional but preferred.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 (revenue recognition).
• Knowledge of ASC 830 (foreign currency).
• Knowledge of ASC 842 (lease accounting).
• Experience with AI‑powered accounting workflows and modern accounting software.
