Accounting Manager

About the role

CYPFER is a leading cybersecurity firm that helps clients recover quickly after a cyber‑attack. We are seeking an Accounting Manager who will shape our accounting function, lead a growing team, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, setting clear priorities and holding members accountable for accurate results.
• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, intercompany activity, and supporting schedules.
• Own the month‑end and year‑end close process, including calendar management, task coordination, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Drive financial audit readiness and execution, coordinating requests, preparing schedules, and resolving audit queries.
• Design and improve accounting policies, workflows, controls, and automation to increase efficiency and data visibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of accounting operations experience, including payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliation principles.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
• Experience with accounting systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and cloud‑based accounting/payroll platforms (e.g., BambooHR).
