Accountant II – Payroll Accounting

About the role

Boston Scientific’s Global Business Services team is seeking an Accountant II focused on payroll accounting. The position supports multiple legal entities, handling month‑end close, journal entries, and financial reporting while ensuring alignment with global processes and GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close activities and act as liaison for supported sites.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, general‑ledger journal entries, and payroll‑related accounts.
• Maintain financial accuracy for all entities and support legal‑entity closings each month.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities and standardize processes across entities.
• Partner with internal audit teams (E&Y, SOX) to fulfill audit requests and uphold internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant payroll or accounting experience.
• Strong command of English (95%+ proficiency).
• Ability to work independently and across global time zones.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.

• SAP (experience preferred).
